ALGIERS- In his address at the opening of the extraordinary session of both chambers of Parliament, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune underscored his commitment to making dialogue a central tool for transparent governance. He expressed a dedication to fostering open communication in the management of public affairs, emphasizing the importance of frank and constructive discussions.

President Tebboune noted that he has “committed to making dialogue an instrument of work and frankness.” This commitment reflects a strategic approach to governance that values engagement and open communication as essential components of effective leadership.

During his speech, President Tebboune highlighted a historical aspect, noting that “no President of the Republic has addressed the Parliament since the speech of the late President Boumediene in 1977.” This historical context adds significance to President Tebboune’s address, as he seeks to establish a precedent for direct presidential engagement with the parliamentary body.

Expressing pride in addressing the members of the Parliament gathered in both chambers, President Tebboune acknowledged their role as representatives of the people and emphasized their crucial position in the institutional reconstruction of the new Algeria. He commended the current legislative framework, noting that it is the first in which elections have not been marred by corruption, signaling a positive shift towards a more transparent and accountable democratic process.
