Strategic Partnership: Algerie Telecom, Ooredoo Forge Alliance for Innovative Telecom Services

ALGIERS- In a significant move to strengthen collaboration and foster innovation in the telecommunications sector, Algerie Telecom and Ooredoo, a leading mobile operator, have inked a protocol agreement for the exchange of innovative services. The signing ceremony took place on Tuesday at Ooredoo’s headquarters in Algiers, attended by top executives from both companies.
The agreement, rooted in the framework of a public-private partnership, aims to develop a robust and mutually beneficial collaborative approach. By leveraging the expertise of both entities, the goal is to enrich technological solutions and innovative services offered in the Algerian market.
Adel Bentoumi, the CEO of Algerie Telecom, and Roni Tohme, the CEO of Ooredoo Algeria, officially signed the protocol, expressing their commitment to furthering cooperation and exploring future projects while consolidating their expertise in the telecommunications sector.
The joint statement emphasized that the accord opens the door to realizing future projects, emphasizing the shared commitment of both companies to respond effectively to evolving customer expectations in the dynamic telecom environment.
Under the terms of the agreement, Algerie Telecom and Ooredoo commit to implementing a partnership program that defines the terms and conditions for each party’s involvement, including the sharing of services and infrastructure between the two entities.
Adel Bentoumi highlighted the strategic significance of the alliance with Ooredoo, stating, “This strategic partnership with Ooredoo marks a crucial milestone for Algerie Telecom. Our commitment to strengthen our strengths and leverage our respective skills aims to offer innovative services in line with the needs of the Algerian market.”
He further emphasized that this collaboration aligns with Algerie Telecom’s overarching strategy focused on technological innovation and continuous improvement of service quality. “It illustrates our shared commitment to effectively meet the expectations of our customers in a constantly evolving telecom environment,” added Mr. Bentoumi.
Roni Tohme, expressing his honor in concluding the agreement with Algerie Telecom, acknowledged the historical leadership of the company in Algeria’s telecommunications sector. He stated, “This initiative is in line with our vision for the development and modernization of the Algerian telecom market, which is constantly evolving.”
Tohme expressed confidence that this mutually beneficial agreement would serve as a catalyst for a strong, enduring, and fruitful collaboration with Algerie Telecom. He concluded, “We share a common futuristic vision and are convinced that this win-win agreement will undoubtedly strengthen our continuous contribution to the development of the telecommunications sector in Algeria.”
