Algiers, Algeria | August 12th, 2024 — On Monday, Lakhdar Rekhroukh, Algeria’s Minister of Public Works and Basic Infrastructure, convened with Salissou Mahaman Salissou, Niger’s Minister of Transport and Equipment, in Algiers. He highlighted the achievements of Algerian construction companies, laboratories, and engineering firms, emphasizing their potential to contribute to infrastructure projects in Niger.
Relying on Algeria’s extensive expertise, Rekhroukh expressed Algeria’s readiness to deepen partnerships between Algerian and Nigerien companies. He proposed enhanced cooperation through knowledge exchange and joint ventures, particularly in road construction and maintenance.
Salissou, on his part, commended Algeria’s infrastructure accomplishments and stressed the importance of ongoing coordination to foster bilateral partnerships. He emphasized the potential for attracting investment and improving public works through collaborative efforts.
