Strengthening Cooperation between Algeria, Singapore through Productive Talks

ALGIERS- The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Lounes Mokarmane, today, Wednesday, presided over a productive working session with Mohamad Maliki bin Osman, Minister to the Office of the Prime Minister and Second Minister of Education and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore. This meeting took place during Mr. Osman’s visit to Algeria, which coincides with the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Algeria and Singapore.
In a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was highlighted that the discussions primarily focused on strategies to enhance Algerian-Singaporean relations and elevate them to a level that aligns with the immense potential of both nations.
During this occasion, both parties expressed their unwavering commitment to intensify consultations, foster cooperation across various sectors, and promote a more robust exchange of visits.
Furthermore, it was agreed upon to reinforce the legal framework for bilateral cooperation and expedite the finalization of pending bilateral agreements, ensuring their readiness for signing in the near future.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reported that the two sides engaged in discussions regarding the latest developments in regional and international matters of mutual interest.
As part of his visit to the Republic of Singapore, the Second Minister’s itinerary includes holding working sessions with key officials from sectors involved in Algerian-Singaporean cooperation. The primary objective of these sessions is to explore avenues for advancing economic collaboration between Algeria and Singapore.
