ALGIERS- During a meeting between Syria’ Speaker of the People’s Assembly, Hammouda Sabbagh, and Algerian Ambassador in Damascus, Lahsan Tuhami, the two leaders discussed the longstanding relationship between their countries. Sabbagh praised Algeria’s unwavering support of Syria during the years of terrorist war, highlighting the nation’s principled stance in the face of external pressures.

Tuhami echoed Sabbagh’s sentiments, affirming that Syria represents a second homeland for the Algerian people and that Algeria will continue to stand by its ally. The ambassador expressed confidence that Syria’s recovery and stabilization will have a positive impact on the wider region.

It is heartening to see such strong bonds of friendship and solidarity between nations, particularly in times of crisis. Algeria’ steadfast support of Syria is a testament to the enduring strength of their relationship and the shared values that underpin it. As Syria continues on its path to recovery, it is reassuring to know that it can count on the unwavering support of its allies.
