Syria’s President al-Assad grants Algerian Ambassador Syrian order of Merit of Excellent degree

ALGIERS- The Syrian President Bashar al-Assad bestowed, on Thursday, the Syrian order of merit of the excellent degree upon the Algerian Ambassador in Damascus, Lahsan Tuhami, in recognition of his efforts to strengthen the Syrian-Algerian relations. At a farewell ceremony, Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Fayssal Mikdad, presented the order of merit to Ambassador Tuhami, who has completed his mission as an Ambassador of Algeria to Syria.
Minister Mikdad emphasized the deep and strong historic relations between Syria and Algeria, which have been fortified by their cooperation against terrorism and their shared sacrifices in defense of their independence and sovereignty. He also commended the recent developments in the Arab region and the cooperation among Arab states to activate the Arab joint action.
Ambassador Tuhami expressed his gratitude to President al-Assad for the honor bestowed upon him and praised the Syrian Foreign Ministry for its continuous cooperation and support during his tenure. He reiterated his country’s commitment to enhancing the historic ties with Syria.
This recognition of Ambassador Tuhami’s contributions to the Syrian-Algerian relations highlights the importance of diplomatic efforts in strengthening international relations.
