In this context, bilateral cooperation mechanisms and preparations for the upcoming bilateral dates were reviewed, especially the exchange of bilateral visits at the highest level and agreement on holding the next session of the joint bilateral committee under the chairmanship of the two governments’ heads, as well as enriching the legal framework for cooperation and partnership between the two countries.
On the regional level, the two diplomatic chiefs discussed the latest developments on the Arab arena, especially the developments of the Libyan crisis, in which they stressed the need to continue efforts to activate a political solution to the crisis and avoid anything that might prejudice the sovereignty, unity and stability of sisterly Libya. Views were also exchanged on several files on the African continent and prospects for promoting peaceful and political solutions to the most prominent crises that undermine efforts to promote stability and advance economic development.
