Tanzania hails Algeria’s unwavering support for completion of decolonization of last African colony

ALGIERS- The Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Amar Belani, received, on Tuesday, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Tanzania in Algeria, Jacob Gideon Kingu, said a press release from the ministry.

 

According to the same source, “the Tanzanian ambassador praised the quality of the historic relations between his country and Algeria”, presenting “his warm congratulations to Algerian people and government, for the 68th anniversary of the outbreak of the glorious Revolution national”.

 

The Tanzanian diplomat recalled “the crucial role of Algeria in supporting the liberation movements in Africa as well as its support for the completion of the decolonization of the last African colony”, added the press release.

 

The meeting was an opportunity for the two parties “to discuss the important upcoming bilateral events, in particular the planned visit to Algeria by the Tanzanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, slated for next December, to take part in the work of the high-level meeting on peace and security in Africa, scheduled for Oran”.

 

In this regard, the two parties stressed “the imperative to strengthen dialogue and bilateral political consultation within the framework of the African Union (AU) in order to enable the African continent to achieve African solutions to the problems facing Africa, including the establishment of peace and sustainable development,” the statement concluded.
