ALGIERS- Tassili Airlines (TAL), the Algerian air transport company, has announced its receipt of all necessary authorizations to organize charter flights specifically for Umrah pilgrimages, benefiting accredited tourism and travel agencies.
According to a press release issued on Monday, Tassili Airlines will operate contractual flights, under these authorizations, for “Umrah charters” to the airports of Jeddah and Medina in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
“These flights are part of comprehensive packages encompassing transportation and hotel services, in addition to religious guides at the Holy Sites,” the statement further elaborated.
This new service offering for the company “has the potential to contribute to the increased commercial and operational utilization of Tassili Airlines’ fleet, composed of next-generation Boeing 800/737 aircraft that will be utilized optimally,” the document highlighted.
These authorizations represent “an important step in Tassili Airlines’ commitment to ensuring a diversified air service, meeting the professional needs of tourist flight organizers and travel agencies, in addition to maintaining its contractual commitments regarding charter oil transportation for the Sonatrach group and its subsidiaries and agencies.”
It is worth noting that Tassili Airlines is a national airline, a subsidiary of the Sonatrach Group, specializing in the transportation of oil industry professionals, also serving domestic and international regular public transportation since 2013.
