The security services aborted yesterday early in the morning an attempt at illegal emigration off the coast of the wilaya of Oran. Ten candidates for illegal emigration of Algerian and Moroccan nationality who were preparing to illegally reach the Spanish coast, aboard a semi-rigid boat, were intercepted off Arzew, according to civil protection.
They are six Algerians and four Moroccan nationals aged between 21 and 44, all male. The latter, all in good health, were intercepted, around 3:00 am, 8 miles off Cap Carbon by the coast guards before being taken to the port of Arzew, specifies the same source.
