The Algerian Association of Approved Car Dealers announced that it had obtained the approval of the Ministry of the Interior, Local Authorities and Regional Planning, noting that this approval will enable it to “work to embody and achieve the objectives set by the founders”.
The General Assembly elected Mr. Salem Othman as President of the Algerian Association of Approved Automobile Dealers, which is the only association currently approved in the automotive sector in Algeria.
The association confirmed in a statement on Sunday that it aims to “cooperate with various public and private bodies and organizations to develop the sector of the sale of vehicles and spare parts, and after-sales service”.
The press release adds that the association wishes to implement “the directives of the President of the Republic to organize the automotive market, expand the distribution network, provide after-sales services and develop them, while supplying and developing genuine spare parts.”.
The association also clarified that it aims to promote and encourage the activity of selling vehicles within the framework of the general interest and to contribute to the development of services with modern technologies, an objective that requires the need to ” mobilize knowledge and resources on a voluntary basis.”
The association praised the efforts of the country’s high authorities to “regulate and develop the profession in a way that serves the national economy and meets the needs of society in accordance with the legal frameworks in force, and the new approach aimed at establishing a solid economic base that helps diversify the country’s income (…) and create more jobs.”
