“As an Algerian citizen, I declare with absolute conviction that my family and I stand firmly in defense of our country’s unity. We have no affiliation, direct or indirect, with actions that aim to divide our great nation,” Majid asserted in the video, leaving no room for ambiguity regarding the family’s stance.

Despite the firm denunciation, Majid extended a heartfelt appeal to his brother, urging him to abandon his current path and return to his family and homeland.

 

“No matter the circumstances, Algeria remains the land of all its children. The doors of the country and our home remain open for Aksel if he chooses to come back and uphold the values that bind us together as one people,” Majid stated, making it clear that the family’s rejection was aimed at the separatist ideology and not at the familial bond itself.
