Algiers, Algeria | November 04th, 2024 — The President of the National Chamber of Agriculture, Mohamed Yazid Hambli, announced, on Sunday in Mascara, that the digitization of the National Agricultural Register (RNA) has been fully completed.
Speaking at the inauguration of the second edition of the National Exhibition of Agricultural Equipment, Products, Livestock, Agri-food Industry, and Refrigeration, Hambli stated, “The digitization initiative of the National Agricultural Register, launched at the beginning of last year and undertaken by the National Chamber of Agriculture, is now fully realized.”
Digital Cards for Farmers Across All 58 Provinces
Hambli explained that the RNA digitization process has enabled the issuance of digital cards to farmers in all 58 provinces, contributing significantly to the modernization of the sector and offering precise data on the number of farmers registered with provincial agricultural chambers. This modernization aims to enhance oversight and support within Algeria’s agricultural sector.
Furthermore, the Chamber plans to activate its electronic portal, “Ghorfati,” which will feature new information on the agricultural potential of each province and introduce an online platform for collecting suggestions and concerns from farmers, facilitating dialogue to advance the country’s agricultural sector.
Hambli also announced that the National Chamber of Agriculture has scheduled the second edition of the International Date Exhibition, set to begin on November 21 in Algiers. This event underscores Algeria’s commitment to promoting its agricultural products and modernizing its agricultural infrastructure.
