The President of the Constitutional Court, Omar Belhadj reviewed Monday in Algiers with the Qatari Minister of Justice, Masoud Bin Mohammed Al Ameri, the ways and means of strengthening cooperation between the two countries in various fields, particularly in terms of constitutional law, says a statement from the Constitutional Court.
“The President of the Constitutional Court, Omar Belhadj received at the seat of the Court the Minister of Justice of the State of Qatar, Masoud Bin Mohammed Al Ameri, accompanied by a high-level delegation, within the framework of his official visit to our country from January 23 to 26, 2022,” the statement said.
During this meeting, attended by members of the Constitutional Court, the two parties reviewed “the reality of the relations uniting Algeria and Qatar, and welcomed the high level of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, evoking by the same the ways and means of its reinforcement in various fields, in particular in the matter of Constitutional Law”.
On this occasion, adds the same source, the President of the Constitutional Court underlined “the depth of the historical relations uniting the two brotherly countries, praising in this regard the positions of the State of Qatar towards the just Algerian cause during the War of Liberation”.
He also noted “the importance of the profound reforms underway in our country under the enlightened leadership of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, for the construction of a new Algeria”.
For his part, the Qatari minister highlighted “the great interest accorded by the Qatari authorities to the strengthening of bilateral relations and cooperation with Algeria”, welcoming the achievements obtained in this direction.
At the end of the meeting, the two parties renewed their desire to work towards strengthening “relations of consultation, cooperation, exchange of experiences and visits between the two countries, particularly in the areas of justice and Constitutional Law”.
