ALGIERS- In recent days, an orchestrated campaign of disinformation and denigration against Algeria and its President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, has emerged. This smear campaign, fueled by neocolonial propaganda and the propagandist relays of Zionist lobbies, seeks to undermine the progress and sovereignty of Algeria. One media outlet at the forefront of this campaign is Marianne, which has been spreading baseless accusations and insulting Algeria’s leadership.
A Strategic Partnership with Russia
Marianne launched an attack on President Tebboune for his State visit to Russia, where he aimed to forge a deep and strategic partnership agreement. The magazine claimed that this move would be detrimental to neocolonial France and its oligarchy, insinuating that Algeria’s cooperation with Russia threatens French economic interests. However, the truth is that President Tebboune’s intention is to restore Algeria’s rightful place on the international stage. His efforts have been recognized through the organization of the Arab Summit in Algiers and the support he received during his travels to Italy, Portugal, and Russia, including a glowing endorsement from Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Unveiling Neocolonial and Zionist Rage
The ongoing assaults on Algeria and its people are no surprise as they emanate from the same neocolonial and Zionist laboratories that have targeted us in the past. Martine Gozlan, in an article published in Marianne, insulted Algeria by labeling President Tebboune as a “falot civil servant” and anti-French. However, Gozlan’s bias is evident, considering her publications on “The rules of the game” website, associated with Bernard-Henri Lévy (BHL), who himself insulted Algeria in a tweet on June 18.
Gozlan’s Ties to Zionist Colonization
The French Jewish Union for Peace (UJFP) responded to Gozlan’s article with a scathing critique titled “When ‘Marianne’ is enlisted in the defense of Israel: Anatomy of a racist investigation.” It becomes apparent that Gozlan has aligned herself with Zionist colonization of Palestinian territories. This association raises questions about her impartiality and credibility as a journalist.
Marianne’ Support for Terrorism
In an edition of Marianne, Gozlan praised the terrorist organization Movement for the Self-determination of Kabylia (MAK), even referring to its leader, Ferhat Mhenni, as a “prophet.” Such endorsement of terrorism is deeply troubling, and it showcases Marianne’s distorted approach to reporting. President Tebboune’s decision to indefinitely postpone his visit to France, due to extremist demonstrations, including associations singing militaristic songs reminiscent of the Third Reich, illustrates his commitment to avoiding divisive elements.
The campaign orchestrated by Marianne against Algeria and its President is riddled with baseless accusations, insults, and a clear bias towards neocolonial and Zionist interests. President Tebboune’s efforts to restore Algeria’s international standing and prioritize the welfare of its people should be commended, not undermined by misinformation and propaganda. It is essential to recognize the ulterior motives behind such attacks and focus on fostering dialogue and cooperation for the benefit of Algeria and its citizens.
