ALGIERS- The Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, Mr. Mokhtar Didouche, conducted a working and inspection visit to Boumerdès province on Saturday, overseeing preparations for the upcoming summer season.
Mr. Didouche’s visit commenced with an inspection of a project for the construction of a tourist hotel in the municipality of Boudouaou, as indicated in a press release from Boumerdès province.
Accompanied by the Wali (Governor) of Boumerdès and officials from his department, Minister Didouche then visited the provincial capital, where he inspected the recently opened El Amin hotel, a 4-star hotel with a capacity of 243 beds. This hotel offers various amenities for tourists expected during the upcoming summer season.
Continuing his inspection in Boumerdès, Minister Didouche visited another project within his sector – the construction of a 344-bed hotel in the Fouais neighborhood. The project is currently underway and aims to provide additional accommodation options for tourists visiting the province.
In addition to overseeing hotel projects, Minister Didouche also inaugurated the new headquarters of the Crafts House of Boumerdès. This new facility is set to support local artisans and promote the rich cultural heritage of the region.
Mr. Didouche emphasized the importance of these projects in enhancing the tourism sector in Boumerdès and attracting more visitors to the province. He highlighted the government’s commitment to developing tourism infrastructure and supporting local artisans to boost the economy and create job opportunities.
The Minister expressed satisfaction with the progress of the projects and reiterated the government’s dedication to ensuring a successful and prosperous summer season in Boumerdès.
