Transport Minister Issues Directives for Building Fishermen's Warehouses at Ports, Emphasizes Punctuality of Train Departures

ALGIERS- Mohamed El Habib Zahana, the Minister of Transport, has directed the Fishing Port Management Company (SGPP), in collaboration with stakeholders, to commence the construction of warehouses for fishermen at the port.

According to a statement from the ministry, Minister Zahana, along with the Governor of Annaba, Abdelkader Djellaoui, and their accompanying delegation, visited the fishing port of Annaba. During the inspection, the Minister was briefed on completed projects and the process of separating pleasure boats from fishing boats through the docking plan.

In this regard, the Minister issued instructions for the SGPP, in cooperation with stakeholders, to start building warehouses for fishermen at the port.

Furthermore, Minister Zahana inspected the train station in Annaba and received a presentation on the services provided there, especially those related to operational conditions and passenger care.

The Minister emphasized the importance of ensuring passenger comfort and punctuality of train departures, particularly during the summer season in this coastal province, to alleviate congestion.
