Tunisian President Kaïes Saïed Reiterates Depth of Algerian-Tunisian Partnership after Meeting with Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf

ALGIERS- Tunisian President Kais Saied reiterated the profound and sincere partnership between Tunisia and Algeria across various domains, expressing the country’s commitment to elevating these relations to the highest levels. The remarks came after a meeting with Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, who visited Tunisia carrying a handwritten message from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, according to a statement from the Tunisian presidency.
President Saïed emphasized the need to enhance integration between the two nations by exploring new mechanisms and methods that meet the aspirations of both fraternal peoples. This includes developing border areas, strengthening economic cooperation, boosting trade exchanges, and encouraging investments in both countries.
Furthermore, President Saïed expressed pride in Tunisia’s shared history with Algeria and a steadfast belief in the unity of destiny. He reiterated Tunisia’s commitment to a year of consultation and coordination between the leaders of both countries, aiming to unify visions and positions on regional and international matters, especially in light of the current circumstances facing the region and the world.
During the discussions, the Tunisian president addressed the Palestinian issue, affirming his country’s firm stance on Palestinian rights and unwavering support for their struggle to establish an independent state on the entire land of Palestine, with Al-Quds as its capital.
