ALGIERS- Turkey announced today that it has summoned its ambassador to Tel Aviv, Shakir Ozkar Torunlar, to Ankara for consultations. The move comes as a response to the Zionist government’s failure to address ceasefire demands and its continued attacks on innocent civilians.

According to the Turkish Foreign Ministry, the decision to recall the ambassador is also a result of the Zionist government’s refusal to allow consistent and uninterrupted humanitarian aid into Gaza. This action is taken in light of the dire humanitarian crisis unfolding in the region.

Over the course of 29 days, the Zionist occupation army has launched a relentless aggression against the Gaza Strip, resulting in the tragic loss of life and injuries to thousands of Palestinians, predominantly civilians. This has led to a catastrophic humanitarian situation, as highlighted by various international institutions.

The Turkish government calls the Zionist authorities to respond to the international community’s calls for an immediate cessation of hostilities and to prioritize the well-being of innocent civilians caught in the crossfire.
