ALGIERS- The Turkish Ambassador to Algeria, Mahinur Özdemir Göktas, has been appointed Minister of the Family by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. This marks the end of her three-year tenure in Algiers, where she served with distinction.

As the only woman in the newly reshuffled Turkish government, Mahinur Özdemir Göktas brings a unique perspective and valuable experience to her new role. Her dual Belgian-Turkish nationality further underscores her ability to navigate complex international relationships and promote cooperation between nations.

Prior to her appointment as ambassador to Algiers in January 2020, Mahinur Özdemir Göktas had a distinguished career in Belgian politics. Her appointment as minister is a testament to her exceptional leadership skills and unwavering commitment to public service.
