Turkish Parliamentary Delegation Visits Algeria to Strengthen Bilateral Relations

ALGIERS- A Turkish parliamentary delegation is set to embark on a three-day visit to Algeria starting this Monday, aiming to bolster ties between the two nations. Led by Talih Özcan, a member of the Republican People’s Party (CHP) from Düzce and a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, the delegation will engage in political discussions with Algerian parliamentarians.
Joining Özcan is Fuat Oktay, former Vice President and Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Turkish National Assembly. Oktay, who represented President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, attended the opening ceremony of the 19th edition of the Mediterranean Games held from June 25 to July 6 in Oran.
During their visit, the Turkish delegation will meet with Rabah Bouteldja, President of the Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Community Commission at the People’s National Assembly (APN). Additionally, they will hold discussions with Mesaoud Kasri, Vice President of the APN and President of the Parliamentary Friendship Group “Algeria-Turkey.”
The agenda includes meetings with several ministers from the Nadir Larbaoui Government, focusing on maintaining and enhancing the friendly relations between Turkey and Algeria. The discussions aim to explore opportunities for cooperation in various sectors and to deepen mutual understanding and collaboration between the two countries.
The visit of the Turkish parliamentary delegation underscores the importance both nations place on strengthening bilateral ties and promoting dialogue at the parliamentary level. It reflects the commitment of Turkey and Algeria to advancing cooperation and solidarity in the face of regional and global challenges.
