Algeria inherited Group A of the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations Algeria-2023 (April 29-May 19), according to the draw made on Wednesday at the National Circle of the Army (Algiers).
Besides Algeria, Group A also includes Senegal, Congo and Somalia.
The draw follows playoffs that took place across the continent.
The U-17 Africa Cup of Nations will take place in Algeria from April 29 to May 19 in the cities of Algiers, Constantine and Annaba, which currently host the CHAN Africa Nations Championship (January 13-February 4, 2023) .
The first two of each group and the two best runners-up qualify for the quarter-finals.
Composition of the groups:
Group A (Nelson Mandela/Algiers): Algeria, Senegal, Congo, Somalia,
Group B (Chahid Hamlaoui/Constantine): Nigeria, Morocco, South Africa, Zambia,
Group C (May 19, 1956 / Annaba): Cameroon, Mali, Burkina Faso, South Sudan.
