ALGIERS-  American media outlets have recently shed light on the significant role played by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in safeguarding the Zionist entity from potential Iranian attacks, which unfolded on Saturday evening and triggered apprehensions of widespread regional escalation.

As reported by The Wall Street Journal, the UAE notably agreed to share intelligence regarding the Iranian attack with both the United States and the Zionist entity. Additionally, it lent support to Jordan in bolstering its military defense capabilities within its airspace against the Iranian ‘threat’.

Early warning radars stationed in Gulf countries, linked to a US operations center, tracked the launch of Iranian missiles and drones from their inception. This data was subsequently relayed to fighter jets from various nations traversing Jordanian airspace and beyond.

Moreover, Iran briefed several Gulf states, including Saudi Arabia, on the overarching plan and timing of the impending strikes against the Zionist entity. This facilitated the safeguarding of their respective airspaces and the transmission of vital information to the United States, furnishing Washington and the Zionist entity with crucial forewarning.

As hundreds of Iranian drones and missiles traversed the Middle East on Saturday night, a defensive coalition comprising radar systems, fighter jets, naval vessels, and anti-aircraft batteries from the United States and six other nations rallied against the anticipated attack from Iran.

Consequently, the vast majority of Iranian attacks reportedly failed ‘to breach the Zionist entity’s defenses’.

This collaborative defense operation represents the culmination of long-standing US endeavors to foster closer military ties between the Zionist entity and its traditional Arab adversaries, aimed at countering the so-called ‘escalating threat posed by Iran’.

However, the concerted efforts to shield the Zionist entity from the Iranian attack in the lead-up to Saturday’s events encountered numerous challenges. These included apprehensions among Gulf states about being perceived as aiding the Zionist entity, particularly amidst strained relations exacerbated by the ongoing Zionist atrocities in Gaza.

Extensive coordination was imperative to swiftly counter the impending Iranian bombardment on Saturday night, with many details regarding the roles played by Saudi Arabia and other pivotal Arab governments kept confidential.

Significantly, Zionist and US forces managed to intercept the majority of Iranian drones and missiles, partly due to discreet intelligence-sharing efforts by Arab states, facilitation of airspace access for military aircraft, exchange of radar tracking data, and, in certain instances, the deployment of special forces to provide assistance.

Efforts to establish an integrated air defense system for the region have been ongoing for decades. However, momentum surged following the Abraham Accords of 2020, brokered by the Trump administration, which formalized diplomatic ties between the Zionist entity and the UAE and Bahrain.

Subsequently, the Pentagon relocated the Zionist entity from its European command to the Central Command in 2022, enabling enhanced military cooperation with Arab governments under US auspices.

Notably, a clandestine meeting was convened by General Frank McKenzie in March 2022, bringing together senior military officials from the Zionist entity and Arab nations in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, to strategize against Iran’s burgeoning missile and drone capabilities.

A senior Zionist official has asserted that the Abraham Accords have fundamentally transformed the landscape of the Middle East, opening avenues for actions that were previously deemed unattainable. The integration of the Zionist entity into the Central Command has facilitated enhanced technical cooperation with Arab governments, culminating in the formation of this strategic alliance.

Officials noted that despite the progress made, the United States’ objective of seamlessly sharing real-time tracking data of Iranian threats between the Zionist entity and Arab countries has never been fully realized due to political concerns.

Bilal Saab, a former Pentagon official with expertise in security cooperation in the Middle East, opines that it is premature to engage in discussions concerning security integration across the region.

He further adds, “Progress has always been gradual, and the attacks on Saturday represented a significant initial step in the real world.”
