The National Office of Pilgrimage and Umrah (ONPO) has sent formal notices to tourism and travel agencies concerned by the organization of Umrah for the year 1443 Hegira for breach of the specifications, said a statement from the Office on Saturday.
“Following the resumption of Umrah activity, the ONPO services, responsible for monitoring at the take-off airports of pilgrims, noted, during the first flights, the non-compliance by certain tourist agencies and of the clauses of the specifications, and after examination of the violations committed by these agencies, it has been decided to send a formal notice which will be recorded in the file of the offending agencies”, specified the press release.
The office again has called on all the tourism and travel agencies authorized for the organization of Umrah activity for this year to “strictly respect the specifications in order to ensure the proper care of Algerian pilgrims and allow them to perform their rites in the best conditions”.
