Unmasking Moroccan Complicity: Laidoudi Exposes Makhzen’s Unwavering Support for Zionist Aggression

ALGIERS- In the aftermath of the Arab-Islamic summit’s rejection of impactful proposals to pressure the Zionist entity to cease its aggression in Gaza, reports reveal Morocco’s reluctance, placing it in a position that favors trivial alternatives. The joint summit held in Riyadh lacked consensus on significant decisions against Zionist occupation, as Algeria and ten other Arab nations proposed measures that were excluded from the summit’s resolutions:

• Prohibiting the use of U.S. military bases and others in Arab countries to supply the Zionist entity with weapons and ammunition.
• Freezing diplomatic, economic, security, and military relations between Arab nations and the Zionist entity.
• Leveraging Arab oil and economic resources to pressure for an end to the aggression.
• Restricting Zionist civilian aviation from flying in Arab airspace.

This tepid Moroccan stance aligns with King Mohammed VI’s conspicuous silence on the egregious crimes committed by the Zionist occupation forces in Gaza. Despite the opportunity to condemn these heinous massacres against the Palestinian people during his speech on the alleged Green March anniversary, the King chose silence.

Political analyst Badr Laidoudi, speaking on the “Question Mark” program hosted by journalist Belkacem Djir on the online channel “Dzair Tube,” asserted that the Moroccan regime unequivocally supports the Zionist aggression on Gaza economically, militarily, and politically. Laidoudi emphasized that Morocco, alongside three other Arab countries, obstructs the besieging of the Zionist entity and any pressure against it. This aligns with the United States, which provides substantial military support and clear international political cover to the Zionist entity under the normalization agreements signed by these countries.

Referring to statements by the Zionist Deputy Foreign Minister, which revealed messages from Arab states sympathetic to the Zionist cause, explicitly endorsing support for its war on Gaza, Laidoudi explained that there are proposals that explicitly disturb the Moroccan regime. Among these proposals is the freezing of economic, political, military, and security relations with the Zionist entity, a move that Morocco vehemently opposes, refusing to compromise the agreements it has signed as part of normalizing relations with the Zionist entity.
