ALGIERS- Up to 800,000 pupils will sit, as from Monday, for the intermediate school certificate examination (BEM) for the school year 2022-2023.
The students will be examined at 2,967 examination centers nationwide, for three days (from June 5 to 7), in nine (9) subjects, in addition to the Amazigh language for the students concerned.
According to the APS, the kick-off of this examination will be given by the Minister of National Education, Mr. Abdelhakim Belaabed, from the wilaya of Tissemsilt.
In a statement to the agency, the SG of the National Office of Examinations and Competitions (ONEC), Mr. Hadj Kola Mohamed El-Amine, said that “all the conditions are met on this occasion.”
A special security plan
In a statement released this Sunday, the Directorate General of National Security (DGSN) announced the implementation of a series of measures and procedures to ensure the smooth running of the tests.
Motorized and pedestrian patrols have also been mobilized to ensure the fluidity of road traffic, in addition to security training which ensures that the transport of subjects and the delivery of copies to collection centers are accompanied and secured.
