Vietnam, Algeria pay heed to further develop economic ties: diplomat

ALGIERS- President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received, this Monday, the Ambassador of Vietnam, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Vinh, who paid him a farewell visit at the end of his mission in Algeria.

According to a press release from the Presidency of the Republic, the audience took place in the presence of the director of cabinet at the presidency of the Republic, Mohamed Nadir Larbaoui.

Talking to the media after the meeting, Vinh said that the two sides had discussed measures to further promote the bilateral relations in the coming time.

As both countries want to develop their economic collaboration on par with their political ties, they plan to step up high-level exchanges, and organise a meeting of the joint committee on bilateral cooperation in May in Hanoi, he stated.

The Vietnamese diplomat also took the occasion to thank Algerian agencies for supporting him during his working term.
