ALGIERS- Saïd Sayoud, the Wali (Governor) of Oran, has reiterated the unwavering support and commitment of the Algerian state to the “Fiat” plant. He called on the Italian party, “Stellantis-Fiat,” to fulfill all obligations to ensure the proper functioning of the automotive assembly unit, which is expected to commence operations by the end of this year.
During a coordination meeting he presided over, Saïd Sayoud emphasized that the Tafraoui industrial zone has been connected to various networks, including water, gas, electricity, and fiber optics, according to a statement from the governorate.
Mr. Sayoud underscored that the Algerian state has created all the necessary conditions to prepare this industrial zone, providing an environment conducive to the automotive industry. The goal is to attract investors in alignment with the country’s economic development strategy.
The remarks by the Wali of Oran reflect the importance placed on the successful establishment and operation of the Fiat plant, indicating the commitment to fostering a favorable business environment and ensuring the project aligns with national economic objectives.
