We aim to take trade exchange to $10 billion: Algerian speaker Goudjil

ALGIERS- The Speaker of the Council of the Nation, Salah Goudjil, attended the swearing-in ceremony of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. During the ceremony, Goudjil conveyed the congratulations of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to Erdogan and praised Turkey’s democratic practices.
According to Goudjil, Turkey has given the world a valuable lesson in democracy through its recent presidential and parliamentary elections. He expressed his admiration for the Turkish people’s democratic election and wished them prosperity and progress.
Goudjil also emphasized the strong bilateral relations between Algeria and Turkey, stating that they require more support in the future, particularly in the economic and political domains. He stressed the importance of coordinating and integrating positions with Turkey in light of the current fluctuations in the world.
The trade exchange between Algeria and Turkey is currently estimated at $6 billion, and Goudjil aims to increase this to $10 billion. He believes that Algeria’s relations with Africa, the Arab world, and the Islamic world are all important files at present and in the future.
