Weather alert: Strong winds, sandstorms, vision difficulties through different provinces

ALGIERS-  Strong gusty winds are expected to blow, as of today, Sunday, May 7th, 2023, along the southern provinces of the country, indicated the National Meteorological Office in a special weather bulletin (BMS).

According to the same report, the concerned provinces are: M’sila, Djelfa, Laghouat, El-bayadh, Bechar, Biskra, El Oued, Touggourt, El M’Ghair, Ouled Djelal, El Menia, Ouargla, Timimoun, and Ghardaia.

Bulletin validity: From 21:00 until Monday dawn (03:00).

“Winds will be accompanied by sandstorms, causing vision difficulties,” added the same source.
