Weather alert: Strong winds, sandstorms, vision difficulties through different provinces

ALGIERS- Since the beginning of May, several weather phenomena have affected different regions of the country, such as rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds.

Strong gusty winds are expected to blow as of today, Sunday, May 14th, 2023, along the southern provinces of the country, indicated the National Meteorological Office in a special weather bulletin (BMS).

According to the same report, the concerned provinces are: El Oued, Biskra, Ouled Djelal, Djelfa, Laghouat, Touggourt, Ouargla, Beni Abbas, Béchar, Tindouf, Adrar, In Saleh, El M’Ghair, Illizi, and El Menia.

Bulletin validity: Daylong.

“The winds will be accompanied by sandstorms, causing vision difficulties,” added the same source.
