Algiers, Algeria | September 30th, 2024 — On Sunday, September 29, the Chinese bus manufacturer Yutong showcased four innovative bus models during an event in Algiers, aimed at enhancing the transportation landscape in Algeria. These new vehicles cater to various transport needs, including urban commuting, intercity travel, long-distance journeys, as well as school and university transport.
During the presentation, significant agreements were signed to facilitate the distribution of spare parts and to establish an efficient after-sales service (SAV) framework. In 2024, three SAV centers will commence operations in Chlef, Sétif, and Algiers, with two additional centers planned for 2025 in Tindouf and Tamanrasset.
The unveiled models include the C12 Pro designed for long-distance travel, the ZK6126HG for urban transport, the C9 for intercity journeys, and the D7, a minibus tailored for school transport. Each of these buses is equipped with cutting-edge technology prioritizing comfort and safety, complemented by advanced connectivity features.
Yutong stands out as a leader in the electric bus manufacturing sector, producing an impressive 70,000 buses annually, with exports to various countries including the United Kingdom and Norway. The company has made substantial investments in research and development, totaling 1 billion yuan, resulting in the registration of over 2,300 patents. This commitment to innovation and quality positions Yutong as a key player in the global bus manufacturing industry and significantly contributes to Algeria’s aspirations for a modernized transportation network.
