Zambian Minister of Education Visits University of Algiers 1: Medical Cooperation in Sight

ALGIERS- The Rector of the University of Algiers 1 Benyoucef-Benkhedda, Fares Mokhtari, received the Zambian Minister of Education, Douglas Munsaka Syakalima, yesterday, who visited the various educational facilities within the university premises.
In a statement to the APS news agency, Mr. Mokhtari mentioned that he had engaged in discussions with the Zambian Minister regarding potential avenues of cooperation, particularly in the field of medical sciences, which are of significant interest to the Zambian authorities. In response, the Algerian host expressed his readiness to establish collaboration with Algerian universities in the medical domain, emphasizing the importance of exchanging scientific expertise and facilitating student and faculty mobility.
The Zambian Minister of Education also visited the Anatomy Laboratory of the University. On this occasion, a twinning agreement was proposed to oversee the partnership between the two countries in the medical field.
The visit aimed to strengthen bilateral ties between Algeria and Zambia in the field of education and medical sciences. Both parties expressed mutual interest in enhancing cooperation, with a focus on medical education, research, and exchange programs for students and faculty.
