ALGIERS- Once dubbed the “king of the poor” for laughable marketing reasons, King Mohammed VI, gripped by his midlife crisis, has plunged headlong into luxury and debauchery. Abandoned to the Azaitar brothers, muscle-bound ex-convicts from Germany known for assault and extortion, he indulges in every extravagant whim while his hapless subjects literally starve.
It’s no wonder this hardened heart, with a personal fortune estimated at over 6 billion euros, doesn’t bat an eye at spending, boasting over 100 luxury cars, sumptuous residences in France, luxury watches, dream cruises… Indeed, he isn’t the one footing the bill for this lavish debauchery of luxury and lust. This disgraceful lifestyle, unbefitting of a true Muslim, is funded by the arbitrarily extorted wealth from Moroccan subjects and Sahrawi citizens.
Thus, Gala magazine has shed light on Mohammed VI’s latest extravagant folly, previously discussed. Gala writes, “King Mohammed VI of Morocco is transforming an old Omani palace on the paradise island of Zanzibar into a sumptuous Moroccan royal residence. An ambitious project that illustrates the sovereign’s penchant for historic mansions and island paradises.” The magazine continues, stating, “In the discreet world of crowned heads, the acquisition of sumptuous residences is a subject that fascinates and intrigues. Recently, King Mohammed VI of Morocco has captured international attention with the announcement of a new project on the island of Zanzibar, Tanzania: the transformation of an old Arab palace into a private residence.”
Additionally, Gala adds, “The story begins in 2016, during Mohammed VI’s private visit to Zanzibar. Charmed by the beauty of the island, the Moroccan sovereign decides to acquire an old palace of Omani origin, once owned by a sultan. The Société Générale des Travaux du Maroc ‘ General Company of Works of Morocco’ (SGTM), a Moroccan construction giant owned by the Kabbaj family, very close to the king, is then entrusted with the renovation work on this future royal residence.
With meticulous attention to detail, the best artisans have been dispatched to infuse new life into this historically significant location. In addition to renovation, SGTM is also tasked with the daily management of this little piece of paradise.” Mohamed, an inveterate hedonist, spares no superfluous extravagance, especially since it is with the stolen wealth of Moroccan subjects and Sahrawi citizens that he allows himself such extravagant whims.
Mohammed VI dares not set foot in Morocco since the outbreak of the so-called ‘the Malian Escobar scandal’. This scandal involves a vast global network of hard drug trafficking, implicating many (over 200) senior Moroccan civilian and military officials. Among them are Fouad Ali El Himma, chief of the Cabinet of Mohammed VI, Yacine Mansouri, head of the DGED, Morocco’s intelligence services, Abdellatif Hammouchi, head of the DGSN and DST, Moroccan security and intelligence services, as well as many generals and colonels from the FAR (Royal Armed Forces).
Given that the US DEA has taken charge of this massive scandal, directly implicating Mohammed VI himself, he fears the humiliation of having to answer to US federal investigators’ questions if he dares to set foot in Morocco.
Mohammed VI consoles himself and passes the time by engaging in his favorite pastimes, when he’s not indulging in secret trysts with the Azaitar brothers, who have gained total control over his body and mind. It’s a sad and comical end for a sinister figure who continues to usurp the dual roles of “Commander of the Faithful” and “Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee.”
