Zionist Ambassador to Morocco David Govrin Investigated for Harassment of Moroccan Women Ends with “Behavior Adjustment” Demand

ALGIERS- The Zionist Ministry of Foreign Affairs has taken disciplinary actions against David Govrin, the head of the Zionist liaison office in Morocco, following the scandal of sexual harassment of Moroccan women and other ethical breaches.
According to a statement from the Zionist Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the measures against Govrin also involve accusations of obtaining benefits in an illegitimate manner. Following a hearing session, which concluded with demands for him to correct his behavior, a series of actions have been mandated against him, as reported by the Zionist Broadcasting Authority “Kan.”
In September 2022, reports surfaced about David Govrin’s involvement in sexual harassment incidents in Morocco, which had been known about for approximately a year.
The Zionist state broadcaster “Kan” revealed the details of the scandals that occurred within the Zionist liaison office in Morocco, implicating the head of the diplomatic mission, David Govrin, in accusations of harassment of Moroccan women.
Zionist media outlets explained that the hearing session with Govrin, prompted by a report from the Zionist Foreign Ministry’s inspectorate on the accusations, resulted in notes being added to his personal file. Additionally, another diplomatic staff member has been instructed to closely cooperate with him.
Furthermore, Govrin has been required to correct his behavior and to completely remove his wife from office duties, with his activities to be subject to close monitoring and periodic workplace visits in Morocco.
Obsessed with Women
It is noteworthy that nearly a year before the recent harassment incident involving Moroccan women, the Zionist Ministry of Foreign Affairs had already received a serious complaint against David Govrin, the head of the mission in Morocco.
Concerns were raised by a Moroccan woman, who chose to remain anonymous, in a complaint sent to the Zionist Foreign Ministry’s Arabic media spokesman, Hassan Kaabia, on October 25, 2021, regarding “unacceptable behavior by Govrin.”
The complaint emphasized the need for the Zionist entity to carefully select its diplomats and ambassadors, stating that it was unreasonable to send someone with a propensity for harassing women. The complainant stressed the humiliating nature of the behavior, insisting that it must cease.
The complaint stated, “Israel should carefully select its diplomats and ambassadors.”
Adding that “it is unreasonable for Israel to send someone obsessed with women to the point of harassing them; this is humiliating and must stop.”
In her complaint to Hassan Kaabia, the Moroccan woman referenced the accounts of numerous hotel employees where Govrin had stayed for about 10 months, indicating that they had numerous stories related to this matter.
“I will suffice to tell you that the employees in the hotel where Govrin stayed for about 10 months have dozens of stories related to this matter,” she remarked.
